Kapoor wrote the more publicized prescription for methadone for ANS (aka Michelle Chase) on August 25.
Dannielynn was born 13 days later, on September 7.
On September 15, just a week later, Dr KE was asking Kapoor for more methadone (300 tabs).
Without knowing how much was on-hand in August, and knowing that the drug’s half-life at normal doses is anywhere from 1 to 5 days, and that withdrawal can take as much as 3 weeks, does it really sound like there was ever a methadone-free interval in Anna’s life at that time?
The only saving factor is that methadone does not transfer to the fetus through the placenta.
I had hoped that LB had DL’s baby hair tested, either while it was still in place or if there had been a lock cut and put in her baby book - but I’m more afraid that he simply took the word of Kapoor, who didn’t know firsthand, or yikes, took the word of HKS.
If LB ever got to conslult with Dr Minnis, I don’t even know if Minnis would admit to any knowledge of methadone presence in Anna’s body at all, much less DL’s, because of the laws in The Bahamas.
