Then Leroy set about slapping lawsuits on anyone and everyone who had ever mentioned Burke Ramsey’s name AND had deep pockets. Most were settled out of court - and one of them included Patsy Ramsey *giving* an interview to their hated nemesis the Natl Enquirer, even bringing them cookies she had baked. Didn’t sound like a “win” that time.
Then he tried to have Boulder detective Steve Thomas’s book on the case taken off the shelves. That didn’t work, either.
Remains to be seen how this is all going to play out. Can’t predict the double lying that will be happening when HKS and Leroy Lincoln Wood put their forked tongues together.
Kitty Kelly wrote terrible things about President George W. Bush using drugs. Unlike with Howie, there was a case of ruining somebody's reputation and she had no credible source for it and a claim of malice could be made. Did she retract it? I recall no lawsuit for 60 million dollars.
