I tihnk that Bain didn't tell her exactly what he said on Ritas tape. I noticed when he was talking last night, she sort of squirmed in her chair - she knew he was lying.
Liz Thompson (in one interview) referred to Quethlie and Denise as *my nannies* and quickly corrected the slip to *my clients*.
I think Thompson was lining up a book deal - probably scheduled to come out after the inquest. Dumping on Rita’s book could have been part of a *build-up* to their own book, i.e. First hand account of Anna’s last weeks- not rumors and third hand accounts. Thompson has been very careful not to deny the content of Rita’s accounts.
It was the lawsuit that drove the unsuspecting Rita into Bain’s clutches. Not sure when Bain learned about the $60m lawsuit.
Dates are important.
When was the lawsuit announced?
When did the *sting* start?
“I tihnk that Bain didn’t tell her exactly what he said on Ritas tape. I noticed when he was talking last night, she sort of squirmed in her chair - she knew he was lying.”
Now that you mention it, she was squirming and looked a little uncomfortable, didn’t she? I guess they should have practiced a little harder to get their stories straight.
