i just finished reading Rita’s book. For the most part, it was like a re-read of this thread :) and i got thru it in a few hours. I think I know now, why Anna was crying at her ‘ceremony’ :(

control of Anna; control of money:

[Apr 15th, Anna and Howard fighting so intensely that Anna flees the house barefoot]

[May-Jul - Anna seeks shelter with the Shelleys; avoids howards’ calls/not happy about his calls according to Shelleys]

1)July-Jul 17th?, ‘06 - GBen states that “Anna told him on numerous occasions ‘Howard was repulsive to her.’” pg 67, Blond Ambition

[shelleys have stated that when Howard came, Anna was locked in her room and he controlled access (imow)]

2) July 18th-?, ‘06 - “After moving to the Bahamas....[Anna] told [Gben] that ‘Howard really wanted to be listed as the father and was very disappointed that he was NOT going to be listed on the birth certificate...” [emphasis, mine]. Ben surmises that Howard clearly wanted to be tied to her...” pg 72, Blond Ambition

[Aug 8th and Aug 26th - drugs shipped to house]
[circa Aug 26th - clown video filmed; a reported second video of Anna talking about death may or may not surface]

3) Sep 11th, ‘07 - “on the drive back to the house [from the morgue]...Howard called and told someone on the other end of the phone...”Put the pills in the bag under the bed or in the bed in the master [Anna’s] bedroom”. pg 52, Blond Ambition]

[why would howie be worried about the prescriptions? why would he throw Anna under the bus by putting the drugs under or in her bed?]

4) Sep 14th-20th??, ‘06 - “..a few days after Daniel died, Ray Martino and Howard’s mother..setled on the Forest Lawn Cemetary in Glendale, California. This cemetery of the stars is the final resting place of many A-listers...Since they definitely wanted Daniel to be buried in Hollywood, Ray Martino and Howard’s mother picked out a plot in Forest Lawn and had the contracts drawn... Approximately one week later, Howard informed them and others that there was a change in plans.” pgs 60-61, Blond Ambition

Same time frame?
Although the Shelleys were, at this point, even buying groceries for Anna and Stern, (page 59, Blond Ambition), Moe claims to have seen “big wads of cash” (page 63, Blond Ambition) changing hands to “people who’d come over to the house”.

5) Sep 07th-25th?, ‘06 - “Anna Nicole did not list a father in the first version of DL’s birth certificate, telling their close friends that she wasn’t sure whom she wanted to put down as father...Toward the end of September...Anna told Ben that if he wouldn’t say he was the father, that Howard had OFFERED to do it [emphasis, mine].” pg 72, Blond Ambition

6) “Both the nannies have repeatedly said that they overheard Anna telling Howard K Stern around the time of Daniel’s funeral:’You did this! You killed him!You caused this!’ And that they had also heard Anna scream at him: “Get out of here. Just wait for the inquest!” pg 78, Blond Ambition

[my comment: During this time, according to the nannies, Howard was very cold to Anna, walking past her when she fell (a lot) but always willing to wake up to give her ‘medication’. Moe states that Anna ‘fired’ Howard ‘several times’ but the nannies said, Howard would refuse to leave. Rita states a witness says Howard called Anna a ‘fat (expletive) pig’]

According to the events on pg 50 Blond Ambition, Howard was also physically abusive towards Anna, and I was reminded of Larry’s story about April 15th.
