People in Anna’s position should insure themselves if they have children, yes. But did Anna? And how will we ever know? E.g, my stepmother collected my father’s life insurance immediately after he died, prior to probate. She was the only beneficiary, thanks to manipulation of him in the last months. We never saw an accounting of that ins., would never have known it existed if our father hadn’t mentioned it. Thus, if there was a policy, and the backup beneficiary was Howard, he could collect as long as Perper ruled her death an accident. How will we ever know that a policy existed? That seems to be how these policies work. They don’t get put into the probate estate.

Exactly - we never will know if any insurance companies paid out on Anna’s death.

She would have to have agreed to any policies written on her life, in writing, but nobody knows what company or companies might have to pay or on what terms.

The biggest winner was probably whoever had Anna in the celeb death pool - on 2nd thought, probably not - too many would’ve been betting on that.

Anyhoo, I doubt ANS kept Xerox copies of any other peoples’ policies she signed, lol. If there were any advantage to Howard, he would have kept copies, that’s for sure. Just think, he could’ve been paying pennies per month and gotten a nicer payout than shoes.
