You are exactly right. Blood pressure can be high because of fear and worry. Every time I go to the doctor my pressure is always high. The nurse checked it everyday for a week and it was normal. They decided I was just anxious when I had to see a doctor.
Mine was up a little not too long ago for a visit which is unlike me too. I have had low BP as long as I can remember. One exception - dangerous episode following a difficult childbirth - caused a very minor stroke. The only lasting effect was one eye drooped, but within a year. Never had a problem again and it remained low. I look at it like, the lord let me be around long enough to raise my children. That and any extensions are a blessing. I have no fear. I believe with all my heart and soul, God is in control of my life.
I think my recent BP increase was nothing more than shock to my body from having to get off my azz and MOVE away from the computer to get to the visit. Might even be short term withdrawal reaction. On another matter ... I won’t mention any names but; I know my doc is not a psychic and was to discover .. there is a MOLE, a SNITCH in my own home!
I rejected the docs concern and lectured him instead. You people can’t make up your minds. One visit, I have to take it easy. I can’t do this or that. Shouldn’t this or that. Aren’t ready for this or that. ONE elevated BP and you want to order tests or more P.T?! BULLCRAP. I let doc (and the beloved SNITCH) know ever so nicely, I will do as I damn well please! And the body allows. I did promise the doc I would research the net for some chair exercises. :D
The snitch got a ‘personal-n-private’ reminder in the car to never again go behind my back like I am a child. I rarely get really angry but being a sneak around will get me pizzed. This incident was followed with a French Apple pie surprise for dinner that night. I know this was a guilt offering but never said word. I am not one to nag on a subject ... or talk with my mouth full. :p
To be a gal of my word ... All at once now...
Sitting w/back straight against your chair -
Put your arms up over your head and hold for a count of 10. Slowly lower arms to a relaxed position at your sides.. then repeat. Great, you’re looking good! Looking good! Nice job!
