Bahamian procedures are a mystery. Wonder if the Bahamians are influenced by the the political and financial cost of a long, drawn out inquest for Daniel? It could be a boost for Nassau hotels & restaurants. But if they blow it - watch for a Boycott!
Perhaps the CA DOJ actions will prevent more delays. The Bahamians should do a thorough and complete hearing, obtain a ruling and pass it off to the US consulate. What are the international treaty implications if a US citizen is suspected of murdering a US citizen on foreign soil?
if i were a bahamian, i’d want (hearings) off bahamian soil and back to the usa - too much attention is bad for tourism and hks has already demonstrated he’s willing to appeal the least little thing to their supreme court. I’d say - here, usa - take this mess! (dunno if that is the law, tho) :)
