that’s 6percent for rale/stern, and an undisclosed percentage for the attorneys who are actually doing the work on the case, now 10 years old. (guessing 40% contingency?) Even with a ‘win’ I doubt DL would get much of anything after the lawyers feed themselves first. IMO
So Howard would rather charge 6% rather than *billable hours* for calculating his total bill?
365 days X 10 years = 3650 days X 24 hours = 87,600 hours
@ $500 per hour = $4,380,000
OR Best case scenario (not bloody likely)
6% of $500,000,000.00 = $ 30,000,000.00
40% of $500,000,000.00 = $200,000,000.00
DL gets $270,000,000.00
