“quite a marked contrast from a few weeks ago, when he loudly claimed the nannies weren’t credible because they ‘were paid to help me in my custody’ suit.”

I’d like to mention here, if it hasn’t been already, that regarding the nannies story about Anna watching a tape of LB and HKS, I saw the former FBI agent that Virgie hired (sorry don’t remember his name, but he’s a black man), anyway, I saw him state that he interviewed the nannies and they told him exactly the same story.

that would be Don Clark, pretty much an impecible witness - if you scroll up, I have his statements on Geraldo yesterday transcribed as best I could..

I caught the last part of Geraldo tonite, maybe 6 or 8 minutes, not enough for me to get situated to transcribe anyway, and apparently he had the attorney, Liz Thompson on, also Bains again.

to my best recollection, Liz Thompson said as part of challenging Don Clark, that she ws in the room wth Clark and the nannies and their (husbands/boyfriends?) and nobody in the room heard the nannies tell Clark about any tape. She was asking Clark ‘where was I, where was I” when the nannies made the statement - acting very much like she did with Rita outside the meeting room when the press was around and Bain was literally hovering over Rita.

Clark almost blew a gasket - he said quite loudly and firmly that he was NOT going to sit and ‘be interrogated’ by basically, someone who had tried to negotiate a large payout.
Clark stated that the attorney (and bain) had asked for ‘enormous’ amounts of money - that he had initially told them he could offer them $5,000 for their (personal and legal expenses) related to preparing an affidavit - same as Rita claims (only rita only offered $1,000 for their expenses, then upped it to $3,000 for expenses/legal costs, a personal appearance on Bain’s show to discuss the book, and $15,000 magazine cover for Bain for facilitating the meeting).

anyway, Liz Thompson called Clark a liar, kept raising her eyebrows and looking down her nose like one does questioning a naughty child, and Bain was trying to chirp in, liar, but Clark wasn’t letting hm get a word in - Clark was p’o’d and blasted away. His own credibility was being attacked and he was having none of their games.

when they came back from commercial break, Clark was off set and Thompson and Bain were standing up next to Geraldo, who had the cast of some new show to his right.
One of the females on the cast, said something to the effect that she saw ‘some truth’ coming from [thompson/bain] side - to which both gave a satisfied smile.

Personally, I don’t see a problem compensating claimed ‘expenses’ of the nannies, their attorney’s time, hotel conference room, etc, to obtain an affidavit - that is not ‘coercing’ testimony iMO - but it seems apparent from both Rita and Clark, that once they were baited there with the enticement of an affidavit, they were jacked up for more, much larger sums, of money.

I hope the Brits are looking at this closely.....maybe they need to repossess their colony and straighten that island’s legal community out

I think the nannies are liars, then and now. Perhaps Virgie or JQ were desperate, Ben or whatever, but .. they flipped then and they will again. If they would lie for a buck for Ford Shelley, they would lie for anyone. They just aren’t credible and no one should have relied on them. imo.
