I have one advantage by not having cable or being able to watch videos on my computer, in that I have never seen the clown video other than the parts shown for the Seidlin circus, which were then shown on regular TV.
Reading different comments on Geraldo’s showing of it tonight, with this thing about “Mark” inserted in there - and reading what Howard *said* to Mark, who was apparently off-camera, I’ve just thought of something.
This took place around August 17-22, approx. - Ford said it was 2-3 weeks before Dannielynn was born.
At the time, Anna was stalling Ben and Ford about getting some money to start paying them for Horizons. She said she had a big payment coming in “soon”. There were people thinking it was Marshall money (ha!), but she evidently told Ford it was money from Trimspa.
She hadn’t done anything for them in many months and hadn’t worked or even appeared in public since her pregnancy was showing, since before May 2006. She may have had a contract with them, as LB pointed out, but she wasn’t the spokesperson anymore (new one was starting Feb 21) and I don’t know if she was getting royalties from her photo on the packaging or if she had just been paid once up-front for that - but she also had a problem with telling the truth, especially about money, so I’m going to discount that.
Is it possible that Howard wasn’t necessarily staying behind in L.A. to “work on the SCOTUS” case, but to work out that alleged 5-year $5 million contract with ET for ANS appearances? There was a lot said about it at the time Anna died, but not much since then.
He may have laid out a plan once she won the court case and became “bigger box office” than she had been in a long time. Problem was that she was preggers and still representing Trimspa.
So, she stays out of the public eye to build up the suspense and they plant the “who’s the baby daddy?” mystery to make her even more bankable - with the seeming “$500 million” bonus to top it off.
HKS promises a behind-the-scenes video blog of her pregnancy and various other “future lost footage,” lol, plus the birth of the baby, as another *ET/Insider exclusive.*
I don’t know when Anna supposedly introduced her “clothing line” (like other celebs, just putting their name on others’ designs and saying the celebs did it themselves), but I saw it on ET - and ANS couldn’t even stand up. She had on a little pink angora sweater and it was making her hot, so she took it off. Then, Anna tried to take the ET girl over to a rack of her clothes, just a few feet away, and she just collapsed on the floor.
They kept rolling tape and kept talking to her on the floor! So, they obviously were not picky about what kind of content ANS gave them on tape.
Then, after the birth video came Daniel’s death and “more photo ops” and then the commitment ceremony and on and on.
So, in the clown video, as maybe part of the “Anna Moves to The Bahamas” episode, don’t you think Howard was “talking” to Mark Steines as if he were there, but he wasn’t? IOW, for when he sent the tape to Steines and Mark was viewing it, HKS would be talking right to him. He knew it would be edited and new voiceover narration would be added, so the sound didn’t matter.
Unless we find out that there really was a person named Mark there on-scene, or if someone can clarify it for me further, that’s what I think - it was one of many tapes HKS was forwarding to ET for payment.

in ANS’s last interview, she mentioned trimspa chocolates and trimspa water - recall her last statement was, trimspa water could be her bathwater? I’ve always understood that to mean that she would no longer be Trimspa weight loss pills product spokesperson but she would continue on in a different role, maybe a touring role, touting the two new products. JMO
