Have you checked out the chatroom at Times Square? There’s someone who posts on there that is supposed to be an associate of Don Clark. From what I gather the regulars believe that she is on the up and up and seem to have a good relationship with her. She says that she was the one that set up the initial meeting with Don and the nannies. She says that DC is steamed because his reputation is being trashed and that the nannies, Bain, and that atty are LYING!!

Giving me heartburn - I understood that Ron Clark took one or two of his people with him for that interview and there were six people in the room. Now we learn the six people were:

Liz Thompson
2 nannies
2 husbands
Ron Clark
If Lincoln Bain was there, that makes 7 people.

Can anyone clear this up?

Rita was obviously set up. The questions is what is behind it:
*Extortion for money by Liz & Bain who miscalculated? The plot has an amateurish quality and was not well planned.
*Stern? Although an obvious suspect, the nannies story of drugs will cause him far more problems than an alleged sex tape? Did Rita remind him on ANS and it became personal?
*Diversion? Many posters have mentioned this. There might be something in 'Blonde Ambition' that appears innocuous but has frightened Stern or somebody enough to want to divert attention from it. And Stern & the media sure have focused on the alleged tape.
*A competitor of Rita's? For a job? Or somebody with a book proposal who has a different take on the case, such as Wecht, or who needs to have her book discredited to get a contract? Sod suggested Rita beat out Bain in getting the book published. Stranger things have happened in the publishing world.

There remain other possibilities, the likeliest being money or HKS.

Bain’s reputation?

If you notice his Bahamian public TV persona is *A man of God* *Anti-corruption*. *Protector of the people*. *Anti-homosexual*.

He must have suspected Rita had taped his *shake-down* for money and decided he better go on the offensive. With the collusion of Liz Thompson - who was after money, he has almost succeeded in smearing Rita and keeping his contrived public persona.

It would be interesting to interview his side-kick -Taylor?
