Six Degrees; on the will today we came across the name James Khavarian. He was one of the witnesses to the 2001 signing of the will. Did you know that he and Howard Stern were former law partners, along with Ron Rale, who now represents
Howard? Well, you do now. Ron’s holding news conferences, Howard is holding the baby but life hasn’t been so kind to James. He was disbarred in California for a lot of things (look it up on the Internet and save me the time it takes to spell it out) and we were told by someone who knew him that he went back home to New Jersey four years ago when “his life fell apart.” We went over to Jersey tonight looking for him. At his house a guy in his 40s who answered the door who said he wasn’t James told our reporter she had ten seconds to go away. She did.
This explains how Jim Khavarian came into the picture. It also makes me wonder what type of attorneys Rale and Stern are or were, that they didn’t notice their former partner, Khavarian, was involved in a $70 million Ponzi scheme, and was ripping off clients? It also makes me wonder what was going on between Howard K. Stern and Khavarian, because this is about the same time that Khavarian turned into a virulent anti-Semite

He had to have known that Stern was jewish..what pushed him over the edge. Also the tidbit about that other lawyer being found dead and Khavarian being the last to see him and the money disappearing. So many twists and turns.
I have always said I believed Ron Rale was in cahoots with Stern in manipulating ANS. Stern should have been disbarred when he illegally took those documents in Texas. The bankruptcy judge in CA. that ruled in ANS' favor had a copy of some of E. Pierce Marshall's records... provided by papers taken illegally and copied by Stern. You would think reputable attorneys would be disgusted with unethical lawyers and would speak out against them.

Rale has been involved with Stern for years, and I bet if and when this thing falls out, we're going to learn that Rale is as corrupt as Stern, IMO.
Sod...that is so weird. I’m reading a novel called The Romanov Prophecy by Steve Berry. He has referenced that quote regarding Russia numerous times. I swear I read that phrase today while reading the book and thought of Stern et al. This book also deals with the Russian Mafia...lol.

Hi - thanks for asking about my hands - especially BadFinger. And nope, it’s still bad. I don’t know what else to do about it, except keep waiting for all the bad skin to peel away on its own.
I’ve tried to work on the Case Name List, but it’s really difficult this way. The main thing I needed to do was transfer all my files onto CDs (again) in their updated form, so I can switch computers, but it’s all highlighting and cut/paste, which is still too hard to do. I can’t rest my hand on the mouse and I have to keep the ointment on the underside of the BadFinger in order for it to eventually heal. So, I have to keep a tissue on the mouse and it needs to be changed all the time.
If I don’t keep the ointment on, it dries out and these pieces of skin try to peel off before they’re ready - and, it’s just a mess. The tops of my hands still look better and feel well, but they’re not anywhere near 100% healed. I’m so sick of oily hands I could just scream. It has only been 8 days - and I had the rash off and on for 10 months, so I’ll be patient a while longer.
I can see that the older portions of skin where the rash started look better than the newer ones, so I’m hoping that’s how the healing is kind of progressing. It’s so hard to tell “dark pink” from “lighter pink” skin when I’m looking at it on a daily basis. Now the discolored areas look more like a raw chicken breast, when they looked like baked ham the day I went to the doctor.
The bad thing is that they go back to the dark red late in the day and every time I shower, so it’s like starting all over again. But, most of the time, they look more normal. It’s BadFinger that’s so problematic - can’t put on makeup, or roll my hair, or as I’ve said before - cut things with scissors or a knife or open jars or cans - or even rummage around in drawers for things - just regular stuff we have to do every day.
The BP med they sneakily gave me has made very sick, too - so that’s just one more *lovely* thing to deal with. Sleepy ALL the time - and dizzy when I walk. And it hasn’t done a thing for my ankle that keeps swelling.
As far as Rale and the Trope firm and all that, I never have been able to sort it out to my satisfaction. Also, Family Law is pretty much the same as what T&T bills as its specialty. I’ll write a little more in a minnute.
I know Rale lays claim to Anna’s $474 million judgment - and it was awarded in 2000, filed in 1999 - but I don’t have any paid access to Lexis-Nexis or PACER, so I can’t check all that out - have to make do with what docs I’ve been able to get other ways.
So aggravating, because a lot of that was online free not all that long ago, but no more. And none of the old passwords work, at least in the CA stuff. Other states’ sites still do, tho.
Umm, the deal with Stern, Rale, Khavarian and Shebby is hard to pin down, as to dates, office locations and actual working practices.
After Seidlin, I tried to confirm the “Stern-Rale-Khavarian” firm in some configuration and never quite could. I finally, after weeks of looking, found them all having been at one same address - but it was not at the same time.
It was 433 N Camden Dr. in Beverly Hills. It was Rale’s office address in Feb 1994. In Nov 1999, it was the Law Offices of Kooros James Khavarian, as well as an import business he had, but Stern didn’t show it as his address until Jan 2001.
Before that (or maybe after), Stern was partnered with David Shebby and they were in the same building on Washington St. in Marina del Rey as Anna Nicole’s bankruptcy attorneys, the Philip W. Boesch Law Firm. I always kind of thought maybe ANS found Stern in early 1998 when she was arrested at some hotel and was bailed out right away, because HKS has always been vague about the timing and reasoning of when they met - and I picture her calling her bankruptcy atty’s who might’ve recommended another lawyer down the hall whom they knew - because this wasn’t something they should’ve been involved with and wouldn’t have kept her out of the media.
Stern was unknown, and whoever did handle it must’ve kept it on the QT because I can’t find much about it at all. And it was exactly the timing when she was first snapped by the photogs with “her new atty” HKS.
I had read a different story - or maybe heard an interview with someone on TV - about how she just wandered into his office when she was down and out and trying to find somebody to work on one of the 7-8 cases-within-the-case in her multi-phastic bankruptcy, with claims, counterclaims, and adversary proceedings and that’s how they hooked up.
When I found the Shebby & Stern office address in the building with Boesch, that’s when I connected it. I know he will never confirm it, but it just seems like something that “could’ve” happened. He always says he met her with another atty and they had an eating contest in a restaurant and she beat him.
I think she was thin (for her) in Feb 1998, when the arrest happened, but not positive until I look at pix. She had a boyfriend at the time and it might also be when she was “dating” Dr Ben, the heroin dealer. I’m still working through all my notes, so I will have to put it all together a little later.

I found this website for Philip Boesch, and he must be a pretty sharp attorney. I did one search and watched a video of him being interviewed by Geraldo, and he was being disingenuous by claiming that ANS was the love of J. Howard Marshall's life...that he wanted to marry her or adopt her (?) - do you think he meant Daniel? I don't think she was the love of his life...I had read that his mistress who died shortly before he met AN had been the love of his life. While he may not have been senile, he certainly was not as sharp as he once was, but he was smart enough (sane enough) not to put her in his Will. She probably pushed too hard and he knew she was using him. Boesch made another comment that I'm not sure is true. He said AN had been at the bedside of her dying husband when the story about some problem with a motel broke. I don't think she was at Marshall's bedside when he died, was she? Do lawyers deliberately lie, or do they just repeat what has been told them?
