I’ll bet she does. More than the whole Republican Party.

It always amazes me that you Ann-bashers frequent the threads about her, especially when you camp on here to have an argument with other FReepers to the point of name-calling.

Some are trolls, others just like to argue. Which are you?

This is my first departure from Ann, actually.

IMO, she’s abusing her position.
Unmarried, childless, and she has the gall to spew bile against the strongest conservative in the top tier?

Yes, Fred will be.

;-)

Hunter I’m sure will do very well also. But the MSM will softball Rudy IMHO.

If Ann really has a problem with Fred for that then she’s petty...and the way she’s been lately, it wouldn’t surprise me. She’s a great mind and a good conservative, but she’s worn thin with me these last couple years.

So if Fred is in second place and a "corpse" as you call him, and Hunter is being lapped and in the dust, what does that make Hunter??? A mummy??? Roadkill???? Skunk roadkill????

NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll

9-28-07 thru 9-30-07

"Let me mention some people who might seek the Republican nomination for president in 2008. If the next Republican primary for president were being held today, for which one of the following candidates would you vote . . . ?" If unsure: "Well, which way do you lean?"

Duncan Hunter - 1%

None - 2%

I doubt Ann is going to forgive him anytime soon for taking part in the episode.

I forgot all about that.

She strikes me as capable of being petty. She is a woman. (Puts on Nomex suit)

She's worn thin with me as well. I get irritated with her when she's asked a question that she should be able to smack out of the park, but instead does her best to be obtuse and feigns a lack of understanding of the question.

Kind of puts her dissing of Fred in perspective doesn't it.

Mitt Romney would have no trouble winning against Hillary if conservatives wouldn’t reject him.

Just as Fred won’t win against Hillary if all the conservatives don’t accept him.

The Fred people want to force the Mitt Conservatives to accept THEIR man, force the evangelicals to compromise on their guy, but refuse to recipricate and offer support to other candidates if they should win.

If all the conservatives backed ONE candidate this would be easy, but so long as the different conservative coalitions are both backing different candidates and refusing to support the others, nobody will beat Hillary, and we will end up with Rudy as our nominee.

I have no idea why Ann hates Fred, she didn’t really say too much in THIS interview but she probably has said something elsewhere.

Are there ANY conservative pundits who would be accepted by the FredHeads if they expressed doubts about the candidate?

Is there anything Fred can do to assuage the fear of the Evangelical community, and the people like Ann Coulter?

We need somebody to move somewhere to break the logjam.

You are right, Fred doesn’t need anybody to support him, he can just ride to election on the strength of his own ego and rugged good looks.

No, they are doing it against Romney, because he has a chance to win. They don’t see the point in attacking Hunter because they don’t see him as a viable competition.

But don’t pretend the FredHeads aren’t tearing down other republicans. They are.

NO candidate connects with the middle-of-the-road people-on-the-street like FRed does. Until the Republican voters face the reality of being ELECTABLE nationwide, we are split amongst certain-issue candidates.

My sense is that we need to put forth a Thompson/Hunter ticket, to have the STRONGEST challenge to the Hildabeast machine.

Those that will ONLY vote Democrat, no matter what, will not change their minds if Mother Theresa were the Republican candidate.

Look at the low-end of the food chain, and you'll find the Democrat voterbase. It's not rocket science; it's the entitlements crowd that wants the handouts from the socialists.

Most conservatives have given Thompson a pass for contributing his considerable weight to a show (not just one episode) that so often made cheap attacks on conservatives.

Fred is a good enough conservative, but I no longer consider him the “strongest conservative” of the bunch, in either the fiscal sense or the social sense. He does seem to be the strongest in the federalist sense.

That’s funny, all the stuff coming from the Mitt camp has been saying the same thing about Fred and his supporters.

If Mitt is the man, I will gladly and freely pull the lever for him and hope his recent conversions were from the heart, not due to expediency. That is much unlike my feelings for Rudy, which may still get my vote and a lot of prayer that he will at least look over occasionally at the R behind his name and not erase it.

If all three fail for any reason, I hope that Hunter, by the grace of God, finds a way to handle his new found front position and try and take out Hillary, that he becomes more than he is now. It’s a risk though that I can avoid for now.

Fred’s humility and lack of ego are what keep him on the rise.

Qualities sorely missing in his opponents.

Oh stop it...

Shenna26 attacks on Jeri alone are enough to expose the duplicity of your comment. The attacks on his health and being lazy, stupid etc can be pitched in to boot.

Spare me the “wounded” pride/high ground routine...
