Good grief. It takes the reporter until the last sentence to mention the family connection? Owen Garriott was one of the 12 people who’ve been on the moon. You might think that his son is a second generation space traveller might be worth a slightly more prominent notice.

Owen Garriott never got beyond LEO. He flew aboard Skylab on Skylab 3 and again on aboard Columbia on STS-9.
