UPDATE: And it looks like it's been confirmed. According to AllAccess, Entercom Memphis announced this afternoon that WSMB will become FOX Sports 680 on Saturday evening (9/1), immediately following the Cardinals/Reds game. They will carry the FOX Sports feed most of the time, save for the 11A-2P shift weekdays, Saturday mornings and whenever they run local play by play.

The author claims that the station was poorly run and promoted, but it's just another indication that lib talk doesn't fly. Except maybe on taxpayer funded NPR.
Lib talk has left the building.
Entercom also owns conservative talk WRKO in Boston, which has had its problems recently but has had a long reputation
as a Right-leaning station in one of the most liberal
cities around. In Kennedy-land, conservative talk
stations like WRKO and WTKK do get at least modest ratings.
Air America? Off the air in Boston since December (in a state
where about 99 per cent of pols are Dems).
So that is why it failed, ugly logo. I live in Memphis and am excited about Fox Sports radio. Doesn't Troy Aikman have a show?
Not sure if Aikman has a show or not but here's info on Fox Sports Radio which is actually syndicated by Premiere Radio networks--the same folks who give you Rush, Coast to Coast, Dr. Laura, and Drudge. Fox Sports Radio
I thought the Err American logo was the upraised middle finger?
Having (dead) Air America bite the dust in Memphis is a cause for great joy around here (Millington)!
One of my co-workers is a lib who kept preaching that AAR was gonna grow and grow and .....
If I can dig up the old e-mails from that time,I’ll post them.....they are a RIOT.
Jon Sinton of Air America Radio predicted “we’ll be on
600 stations in 5 years”. That was in 2004. Three and half
years into those 5 years, there must be about 50 or so
and most of them are pretty weak signals.
New owners took over AAR a little while back. The only
“new” station has been a small outlet in Atlantic City, NJ
while a few other stations have since pulled the plug on it.
its still actually not dead??? amazing
