Oh, I agree. I don’t even own a cat, haven’t for some years, but I do like them. Their independent nature - and the fact that you can go away for a couple of days without worrying about them - appeals to me. But some people on this site, and in general I guess, seem to have a real hate-on for cats.
Robert A. Heinlein
Cat story.I,some years ago, traded a Pontiac Catalina fully loaded for a 1984 Volvo and ten guitars sight unseen. The car was parked in the driveway when one of my roomates wanted to take it for a Pizza run. I had never driven the car so I said go for it.He came running into the house rattled as when he started the car,all sorts of sounds started emmitting from under the hood.Having no experience with a Volvo,it took us a while to find out how to open the hood, all the while blair witch sounds were coming from under the hood. When we shut the car off, underneath the hood was a black cat.
It had become entangled in the belts of the motor for reasons unknown. We took the cat, which we named cat, into the house for some emergency care.It had only suffered a broken front leg.The cat pshycotherapist was unavailable at the time so we could not do a mental evaluation .We placed it’s paw into a finger splint and adopted it.We always knew when it was roaming as the click, click sound was unmistakable. The cat disappeared one day as I was giving it a bath.Oh,by the way,it also knew how to fly.Strangest thing.
