A few months ago, I was driving along a local road and saw a sign which read:

(in foot-high italics) Single?
(followed by) [local_city_name]singles.com

Thinking I would meet local singles with similar backgrounds, I went to the site and filled out a profile. In a day or so I got a call from a nationwide service called "Great Expectations." The sales rep callng me was located in a city about 40 minutes away. She wanted me to come to the office, make a video, etc.

I was told they are very expensive, and results are not good.

Just yesterday, saw the same sign, but this time using a different local_city_name.

From many of the posts so far, seems most of them can't be trusted.

Ah! I’d forgotten about Great Expectations. I joined them about 6 years ago. YES! they were very expensive and the results were ... squat. Not one date. I could have had many but the men they gave me to choose from were just ... NOT.
