Here ya go...

So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
A new one just begun
And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The war is so long
And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let’s stop all the fight

A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear

Usually the chorus gets repeated about a zillion times more. Meanwhile, in the background, people chant “War is over if you want it, war is over now...” on and on and on.

Oh yeah, "Happy Christmas (War is Over)". I knew it by the longer name.

To make up for making you think about it again, try some Rolling Stones instead!

Ah yes, I especially love to hate that one.

The one I hate more is McCartney's (surprise surprise) "Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas-time." UNGH!

The one thing of Lennon's that I really, really love from his solo career is "Working Class Hero." Heck of a cynical song. I sang it in my mind whenever I ran into my she-witch former supervisor.
