Case #1 for why we shouldn't be anywhere too fancy: Tam keeps messing around under the sink, and there's cooolllld air blowing from there, so I put rubber bands around the two knobs so he couldn't get 'em open. He's been trying anyway (man, I hate that sound!), and has managed to crack part of the wood of one cabinet door. Granted, it was already split, and if it was a NICE cabinet, that wouldn't have happened, but he probably would still have left marks.

Then again, in a nice place, maybe I wouldn't be tryin' to keep 'em closed to keep warm. ;-) But I still think we're not candidates for a partially furnished, nice place set up by a Martha Stewart kinda gal...heh. This place is a dump, but in some ways that makes it a less stressful place to be. In some ways. So long as the roof stays intact, more or less. And stuff.

Well, you never know... if you had a nice place you might enjoy keeping it nice ;~)

But I agree that it’s nice... Here, they offered to put in new carpet when I moved in, and I decided I didn’t want them to. With all the trips in and out by critter and human alike it’s not going to stay pristine. I said “how about keep old carpet and no damage deposit?”
