Dang...that’s a sudden temperature drop!
When I was at the health food store yesterday, they tried to sell me some nocaf flavored stuff that was made from grains, nuts, fruits and berries. I laughed out loud.

Finally talked to my office neighbors across the street. The subject was a dark-grey cat hanging around their porch. They started letting it in during the cold weather, and had it fixed last week, so I guess he picked himself a good home. It’s a full-grown cat, just beautiful, and I don’t have the slightest idea from whence it came. Can’t believe someone would dump a cat in the downtown area, but some louse dumped a old golden in this area last year. It got a great home with two doting youngsters.
Evening - yup, makes perfect sense..NOT. Sheesh.
Does Uncle Sam still prorate the per diem by quarter days? Six hour increments as I recall. Getting back to the duty station before 6 pm and you lost that last quarter day of per diem etc.
I think it’s based on travel days. The day’s I fly are 2/3 per diem. Honestly, in most cases the rates are extremely generous. I can almost always find a clean hotel in a safe area of town for less than the lodging rate. Similarly, you can gain serious pounds eating out on Uncle Sam’s dime.
Ungh. I am soooo glad it’s the weekend.
Even if it does mean less than a week until the trip.
Speaking of travelling, I am in Lothlorien, since TNT is showing TLOTR at 7PM EST Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the one year anniversary of when they showed it last year, while I was in the hospital.
1. Kill perp.

took a trip tuh the St Louis art Museum the other day... alotta good stuff, but some of the new stuff... makes yuh say, "this is art?..." muh tax dollars at werk...
Corin... went up in theArch... wuz thinkin' of yuh... thekidz were openly mockin' yuh... made me suh proud...
got deer all over the place when we got home... Think I'll try and get one more doe in thefreezer...
I wouldn't have it any other way.
