The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

You’re still OK then? OK is iced up pretty bad. Becky was hearing branches breaking in the night.

Yay!

Don’t do the show next year, Corin. ;-)

We can help you come up with more reasons if the seventy odd ones you alreasdy have aren’t enough...

Most of it went south of us. The weather weenies are saying we’ll get a half inch of ice tomorrow.

If I may say, your imprint is more along the lines of a baseball... ;)

Glad to see you're posting. And thanks to the Mrs. for the update yesterday - the pics were great! Safe travels; best wishes and prayers for all.

How’s Bay doing? Someone’s coming out today to see him, right?

And I can now say, "I banged up some sheet metal", rather than, "I wrecked her car".

A distinction with a difference! Glad it is all working out for the best!

Yeah - guy’s coming this morning. WOO HOO. He’s OK. Still on his feet and fairly chipper when I went out to feed breakfast.

Well, good!

Here’s hoping this guy is the end of all your farrier woes over the last little bit. :-\

I wrote my farrier an email and said I didn’t think I’d be having him back.

He said “I’m curious, let me know what the new farrier says”. I’m wondering, should I send him a link to what 10 pages worth of farriers have said?

Eek!

Some of them were a bit brutal, too. Though it sounded like the main consensus among the farriers on the thread, last time I checked, was just that he doesn’t sound like he has enough experience and know-how to be working on his own, without someone else critiquing his work for awhile. I’m not sure how he’d take that, though.

Got a link to your farrier discussions? I’m curious about what happened...

Sure... Is this bruising? - The Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center Forums

I'm to the point now where I can't stand to look at those feet any more. They just look bruised and cramped.

Ooooh? Where?

I was just reading about how "MD's governor is eeeeevil," which is, of course, very true...
