The AK family was always double-stack for magazines. Some oddball variation, brought into this country to bypass the restrictions of the "assault weapon" ban, was converted to single-stack.
Right now, you can still convert all those "post ban" weapons to folding stock, flash suppressor, etc. until the RATs put in another ban.
*sigh*

Three types of cookies made and set out to take to work tomorrow. And I added words to my story. I have to figure out how many magical items my heroine gets for her Ultimate Quest To Destroy Bad People. She’s already got magical goggles that show through illusions which will be very important later... but now the magical people are asking what she’ll pay for the rest of the stuff.

Did you get any snow? We got about an inch of powder.
As of last night she’s doing pretty well. Hopefully Talon will hear from a sibling soon and give an update but it seems like she’d definitely improving. She’ll be in the hospital until at least Saturday though.

No. Last precip was a half inch last Saturday. They’re predicting light snow for tomorrow, though.
Nana’s okay. She’s got her ankle in an air cast for another couple of weeks. She got out to see theshow on Saturday.
My stepdad is the current concern. He’s been diagnosed with MRSA. Particularly tricksey since he’s had two quadruple bypass operations. They’re trying to get him an appointment for additional tests, just in case.
