May see some record flooding, too, though most of that will be south of here.

Hope the folks that commute from Chehalis to Olympia got home OK!

Kind of interesting info here, if you like poking around:
http://www.co.thurston.wa.us/em/

Clicking on the links to the various rivers brings you to data about historic floods and lets you look at current data. Most of the rivers in Lewis county are flooded, though not (yet) at record levels.

Interesting stuff...from a selfish perspective, since I don’t have any property in harm’s way. :-\

Latest word is she’s doing pretty well and we’re going down Saturday.

That's relatively good news. Y'all are still in thoughts and prayers.

We saw a few reports with the reporter standing on the beach. They had 100 mph winds there. The jetty at the Astoria bar was rather engulfed... would have been a wild day to try to ride it! Didn’t hear surf reports though.

I can’t believe you guys don’t watch the news when there’s storms coming!

I think your storms killed the thread.

Purty! The rainbow would be clearer with more clouds, I think...but I won’t wish for them!

Who’s that tearing like mad across the pasture under the rainbow? Can’t quite see. Pony?

Mmmm...home.

I have a new crochet project, my NaNo story, plus another one I started at about midnight...had to get up and write the first page so I could get back to sleep. Another mystery (though the mystery is a mystery to me so far), set in a small town, and the protagonist works at the grocery store there and hence hears all kinds of gossip and dropped comments and uses that to figure out the mystery.

That’s as much as I have so far.

But here I am, stuck at work. At least it’s busy.

Yeah - it’s a little greyer now, and a little clearer now, for that matter, a few showers coming through, but enough sunbreaks that it’s still a rather cheerful change.

That’s the old Bay man :~)

I’m making dinner and tissue paper flowers for the tree. Big’ol doesn’t like them (hehehe), sez they look like someone stuffed toilet paper on the tree. I’ve never seen lemon yellow toilet paper.

I’m also doing some Christmas shoppin’ online.

I haven’t made tissue paper flowers in FOREVER. I remember making huge numbers of them at one point, though. And I think they look very pretty when done right! Yellow sounds nice.

Hm...now I wanna play. Maybe I’ll see if Michael’s has any cheap tissue paper. They’re *kind* of on my way home. And I could look at yarn...

Nice picture, it could be used for some sort of logo. Who’s that galloping underneath the rainbow?

Hiya...speaking of gunnery...

the original and still champeen AK-47 had a single stack mag, right? A guy over here just bought a WASR with double-stack mags.

Nothing like baking cookies for stress relief. Talon’s work is having “Food Day” tomorrow so I’m sending cookies and of course taking a batch to my coworkers as well.
