Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Good Morning ALL - beautiful, quiet morning; a lot of the folks seem to have gone to the Lake, makes for a peaceful city.
(except for the shoot out at a karate studio Saturday morning, three shot, none life threatening, no names given - yet).
Our little town is growing up.
Mornin’
Busy day yesterday. “Family Life Day” at church which includes a combined service and a picnic/games afterward. Big kickoff for all the family/kids programs for the year.
Then we were supposed to go to a rehearsal for the Christmas CD the choir is doing. But neither of us are over this dang cold stuff. I’ve spent the last two nights sleepin’ upright in thechair.
So movin’ slow this morning. Need to get out in the yard and work and get started on the building.
Thanks for the Nanowrimo suggestions.
*snort*...
what?... no kung-fu fightin'?...
Heh. Been lazy sippin’ coffee.
Go the trim painted up...where did I put the finishing nails? Hopefully thesunroom will be finished except for refurbishing the bench and getting the wall sconce.
Heh...we watched that last night, too! It was on TV, but had already started. I mentioned that I’d never seen it, so ecurbh got his copy out.
It’s...very strange. ;-)
BTW, figured out what made me think of Evil Roy Slade - beside it being another western comedy. The gal who played the little trophy wife in that Columbo was the love interest in Evil Roy Slade. Knew she looked familiar, so I looked her up when I got home. It was even the same year.
Also, made the move to New Hampshire to join the freedom movement here.
You can open carry firearms everywhere but courtrooms and federal buildings.
Heh, nope, so far the ‘participants’ have been uncooperative to investigators. Imagine that.
Sounds like that project is well in hand.
We have just started another one. Seems the neighbor’s young Rhodesian Ridgeback decided to take a short cut through our back yard. Normally, we wouldn’t have minded but he went through the lattice top of our fence. Now to replace the lattice and reinforce the top.
*breathe*
*wheeze*
*breathe*
*wheeze*
back yard is mowed...takin’ a break to breathe and wheeze, then back to werk...
Well Hullo John!
Hi John, can’t really see the hole in that pic, can see the rammed earth of course.
Since you started the original hobbit hole thread, does that mean we all have to build our own real hobbit Holes?
It does leave you shaking your head, it does.
Rammed earth is sweet tech. If hubby and I ever move (back) to the south west, that’s how we’ll build our house. Good stuff! Good move on NH - it’s great country up there. Folks are nice, too.
Hi there!
Headed back to that area in a few days here. ;-) Just for a visit, though.
And yes, I *need* to start this early.
Singing? Piano? It’s you that plays piano, no?
Singing will get me shot. I play the piano and assorted woodwinds. Big’ol and I are planning to do some duets now that he’s picking up the Q-chord/autoharp. (I’m vey proud of him, btw...)
