Thanks. Friday is broke to ride but no real training at all, the folks who raised her and had her for eleven years basically just taught her to go forward and stop :) He'll be despooking her and teaching her some basics.

You are right, the market is very slow although it is picking up some I think. I have had a lot of inquiries on Friday (her looks of course) but everyone wants a riding horse and I won't even admit she's broke to ride. I really wanted to sell her as a broodmare but that doesn't seem likely.

Young stock (weanlings and yearlings) seem to be the ones that are not selling. The ecomony and the closing of the slaughter houses has really had an impact. Well broke saddle horses still demand a pretty hefty price though, at least the ones I see on the ‘net. Of course, they might not be selling either.
