Jeepers Frog... this year has been hard on you!
Sounds a little like my crash when Bay fell on his knees a few years ago. He fell on my ankle too.
I always tell them to watch their feet going down hill!
I hope your ankle is fine with just some rest and won’t need major medical intervention, but it sounds like it’s more sprained than mine.
And Bob too... That’s a leap of faith to hand him off to another rider... on both your part and the other rider!
Yeah, I really didn’t want somebody else riding him back, but I didn’t have much choice. I’m assuming he did fine though because he was back in camp not too long after I made it back to the truck. He seemed none too worse for wear yesterday evening when I went to feed. I had let my husband feed for me Saturday night and my BIL fed on Sunday morning so that was the first time I’d seen him since I turned him out when I got home. He’s got 2 skinned knees, a skinned shoulder, a skinned forehead and a skinned muzzle, so he plowed up the dirt pretty good. Elizabeth said we looked like we were sliding into home plate so I don’t know how I’m not any more skinned than I am. My left knee is skinned, but otherwise I’m just bruised.
