I finally got logged in to Photobucket....I've been trying for days now. I've got a picture of a flower I found growing wild along the county line road when JP and I were taking a walk one day last week. I've never seen any like it before, and thought I'd share it with you all and see if anyone knows what it is.

I’ve seen that in NC but I can’t remember what it is or whether it’s the one that has a watermelon type fruit or not. It’s beautiful.

We always called those Paw Paw's. The flower always looked like a ballerina in a big frilly skirt with her arms raised over her head in a pirouette. They make a soft green oval fruit about the size of an extra large egg. They're kind of hollow and have a green slimy pulp inside. They're really great for throwing at other kids. ;o)

I just Googled Paw Paw and that's not what they are, so I Googled another name I'd heard, May Pop, and THAT'S what it is. Check out this link
