No news. We looked thoroughly and dismantled the pile and the other two kittens were gone. I’m going to be an optimist and decide that their momma took them away some place safe, unless I find out otherwise. If they show back up as semi adults, I guess we’ll have them spay/neutered too.
I feel bad to have not gotten all of them, but we did what we could. Three of them now have a real shot at a nice cushy pet life, and that’s good! :~)
Alison did very well, she won Circuit Championship in Showmanship and won a real nice chair, table, footstool that was embroidered. She also won Reserve Champion in her age division and received a digital camera. Plus she won 100# of Strategy and $75 in gas cards! Its expensive to show at these shows, but if you win, the prizes are super.
We had a heck of a thunderstorm last night and I was worried about them staying in the trailer. They took cover in one of the barns at the fairgrounds. With the high winds, I was glad that they rolled the awning up.
You shouldn’t feel bad. You got the two momma cats spayed and got most of the kittens a better life. Also you’ve got a very good chance of saving the other two.
The kittens that got away are probably the fastest ones and the ones most likely to survive in the woods. Their momma has them in a safe place now and you’ll see them soon when they come for food.
Congratulations on calming down the new litter. I can’t believe you got them sitting in your lap so soon. Are they purring too??
