Great! Whether it’s the treatment or the air . . . who cares? It’s looking so much better so quickly!
They really do look much better! A lot of the black is gone. But you have to wonder how much of that is due to the tea tree oil and how much is just due to the simple fact that he’s barefoot and the hoof is getting more air and is scrubbing on the ground and wearing it off. But whatever the reason, it looks better. Best not to look a gift horse in the mouth. ;o)
Hello everyone...man it’s not fun being without internet:)
Hair: do you think you needed to pull the shoes now that you have seen his foot? I do think it will probably heal faster without, but looks like it was getting better.
Beaker, good luck on the job hunting.
MissTargets, Sorry about your friends foal...that would just be heart breaking.
I did ride yesterday...had a little incident. I had to ride off the trail because a car came down the road, when I was coming back out onto the trail, Harley felt like he was jumping around, when I looked down I noticed he was holding a back foot up. I jumped off and found a finishing nail in his frog. Not far but enought that one drop of blood came out when I pulled the nail out. I went ahead and rode just a bit. He didn’t seem sore at all. When I got back home I cleaned it out, and did some peroxcide...I don’t think that really did anything but I didn’t know what else to doctor it with. You couldn’t hardly see the hole, it closed up. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it doesn’t abccess. Anyone have any suggestions?
