Well, he is big enough, and has enough of a coat that as warm as you are saying it is put him out in the barn in the crate. After a while he will get use to it and you can bring the crate in the house. From what I’ve been told dogs start to look upon their crates as a safe zone to go.

I’d put him down before doing that to him. He’d just turn on himself.

He’s in a panic. He’s climbing all over us because he has these needy anxiety attacks. If we aren’t here when he panics like that, he chews holes in himself.

He’s got mental issues. Normal dogs adapt to crating. Insane ones I think would just get more insane.

Anyhow ladies... thanks... No easy solution to it but I appreciate the ideas. Most nights he’s NOT like this. It’s just episodes. But when he’s in this kind of panic there’s little we can do to settle him except hold him. It’s like he’s not even really listening. Nothing going on behind the eyes, They’re just fixed and dialated, if you know what I mean.
