It didn't fit, but it still was fun! (I sold it, kept the saddle cover to put on my Courbette. THAT confuses people.)

HA! :-) Hey, I got a Kieffer a couple of weeks ago for $400.00 brand new! Used once. No marks, not even any stretch in the billets. (I talked her down from 500.00.... should I feel guilty?) I'm interested to see what's in the trunk. My dad says that there are lots of leather straps... I tried to ask more, but he got all flustered. Probably just odds and ends, sounds like there might be some leg wraps in there, and something made out of wool. A cooler? Who knows.

Don't feel guilty - she didn't HAVE to sell it to you! And if she wasn't using it, that's 400 bucks she didn't have before.

Sounds like a leather halter and lead shank, maybe a bridle (that would be nice!) I would say that kids accumulate those first, then martingales, extra stirrup leathers, draw reins, and maybe a surcingle or longing cavesson (that would be REALLY nice!)
