Heh, that does sound like an interesting ride, but it does sound like you did good. The main thing is that you didn’t freak out. You rode him through it, so hopefully now that he knows that you don’t scare so easy and he can’t get by with all that silliness he’ll be better the next time. And I do think that your trainer should’ve given you a bit more encouragement than he did for handling him successfully like you did. Like Hair said earlier when we were discussing my less than graceful jumping form, any ride where you stay on the horse is a good one, no matter what you look like. I’ll bet you did look like a mouse riding a charging elephant though, with him doing all that squealing. My old 17 hand gelding Tennessee used to squeal under his breath when he got pissed too. It’s really funny sounding.
