Here's a pic of our adorable Honey Pickle. She will be breeding to Ty.

Oh, just LOOK at her! She's so confident and happy.
You can tell by her step and the look in her eye!

Wow! Love those ears! What we used to say about the Siamese ears was "RADAR ACTIVATED!"
And what a sweet expression.

It don't pay to get too comfortable on a green horse {Says the voice of experience} And the people say AMEN!!!!
Miss Iris (the Oldenburger I'm riding) and I had a good ride yesterday, much better than our first. She still wants to stick her head down in between her knees after a jump, but this time I smacked her and popped her inside rein, and she decided that it really was a better idea just to duck her head a little (that I can put up with).
She's much smaller than Gracie, with a shorter neck (anything but a giraffe has a shorter neck than Gracie) and a lovely reaching trot, but her canter feels a little like an out of balance Maytag. We're working on it, lots of circles and changes of lead -- she is not happy with me at the moment (nobody else makes her work like this, as our trainer says, she's just been carrying the teenage girls and they let her poke around with her head sticking out and her hindquarters trailing) but she's going to have some self-respect or else.
She actually relaxed after going down the jumping lane, pulled up nicely without bucking or shaking her head, and I gave her many pats and nice words. I think she'll figure out that it's easier to get with the program (and that the treats will start appearing more regularly if she does.)
I saddled up Gracie and hacked her a little, but she's still off on her right foreleg. :-(

LOL. That is so true. Sooner or later he should grow into them.

She really is. She and Ty our little white boy will be bred in a couple of years. I can’t wait. They will be having such wonderful pups.
They are little balls of fire. Ty is like is Daddy, what he can’t jump over he climbs over and Honey Pickle is sweet; but a Miss Sassy and she will be running Ty’s life. LOL

Any of us would be a little surly if some stranger came into OUR comfy little house and started making US work out when all we’d ever had to do before was lay around on the couch and eat bonbons. ;o) But it sounds like she’s begun to figure out that she can’t beat you so she may as well join you.
To: AnAmericanMother
Here's one more of Miss Confident who will rule Ty. LOL

I tell you, that look right into the camera without a qualm means, "I intend to be the Boss, and don't you forget it!"
Miss Ruby has that look.

A picture of Rocky that I took today. Mom is 15.2 hands. Rocky will be four months old next Wednesday, and probably will be weaned next week too. He's eating all his food and mom's.

LOOK at him! He is GORGEOUS! What a little beauty.
His coat is spectacular!
Momma's probably ready for him to be weaned! She's got that look - "Get that ravenous thing outta here!"

Thanks - Yep, Farah is real ready for him to go away :) Instead of missing him, she’ll heave a sigh of relief.

Thanks. Yes, he is an appaloosa. His greatgrandfather on his sire’s side is a thoroughbred and a great grandmother on his dam’s side is a quarter horse but everything else is appaloosa.

I used to do pedigrees for my favorite boss back in the 70s. Don’t ask me about any of it because I don’t remember. LOL
I do remember he raised anything with spots. Appaloosas, longhorns and dalmations.
