Thanks everyone. It helps that others think it was time also.

It is hard knowing when the time is right and no one can tell you it is to soon or past time. You know it in your heart.

Well ladies, I'm starting to gear up for this trip o'mine.

I fly out at 9:50 on Thursday morning, and will land at about 3:30 their time. I have a stopover in Pheonix. Once I get there, The Fellow will come from work to pick me up. We aren't going to do much, there isn't enough time, but we will see the fireworks in San Fransisco. I believe that there's also a gay pride rally going on around the same time, so THAT should be... um... interesting... The next trip out in August will be the big one. We're probably going to go up to Muir Woods, and then down to San Fransisco again to see Alcatraz (Great idea Frog!) and then we're going to try out that Sea Horse riding place. He really, really wants to go riding. (So he claims!) And of course, I'm happy to oblige. I'm a little nervous about him being a green rider riding without a helmet on a strange horse (And I know that we all have different opinions on this! :-) ) but I'll probably see if I can rustle up an extra one to bring with me. I dunno, ladies, I think that things are looking up!

WHen we were there they had helmets you could use/rent, I can't remember if they charged for them or not but they did have some. You could call or email them and ask. They were really nice people.

Thanks for the info, Blade. I’ll do that. Did you actually ride with them? I can’t remember if you did or not.

We did not ride with helmets on, at that time I did not use a helmet but I do now. It was kinda fun, it was in March and there was not a lot of people out on the beach, just me and hubby and the horses.

Did the horses look well cared for, etc?

You know... The weekend I spent in San Francisco was also on Gay Pride weekend... but other than a few rather unusual couples we saw around town (and I have no idea what a ‘normal’ day in SF looks like) we didn’t see the parade or anything outlandish. Disappointing, almost. ;~)

Have fun on your trip! Take pictures!

Yes, the ones we had were. They had several different shapes and sizes and temperaments. I will see if I can find some of the pictures and scan them tonight. This was before I had my Snapfish account so I don't have them here.

We are talking about SF now ladies. Every day is Gay Pride day! LOL.

Actually, when I was told that it would be the Gay Pride weekend, I immediately thought "hmmm... this will be great fodder for the Saddle Club!" :-) I will certainly take pictures of everything. This is going to be interesting. I'm going to be north of SF, and we'll take the train in to see the fireworks. He says that he has cacti in his front yard, which to me is just wild. I want to see some orange groves and lemon trees. That would be neat. I'm more excited than a kid on his first trip to Disney!

No sorry, just red squares on this end also.

Thanks for the update on the kennel cough. I did read that you could give them OTC drugs and yes, it is very annoying them hacking all over the place.

We could see when we were there that her days of enjoying life were limited

Poor old girl, she is at peace. She was tough to make it through the winter, when she looked like she was on her last legs, last fall.

I get red squares too. Blade, you can probably see them because they’re in your cache. I haven’t used Snapfish for a long time, they must be blocking hotlinking now.

Yep... it looks like they are blocking hotlinking now... all my kitten posts from a couple weeks ago are red squares now, and I know they showed up at the time.
