When his nose is wet from the milk, it does look kinda gray.
I’ll get more pics tomorrow. Gotta work, too. Sucks!
I hope yours come soon and have a safe delivery. Hope your mare is OK, too.
It was worth the wait, but nerve wracking.
#&@#&%$&*#@$&%#$#&%!!
I can’t see anybody’s pictures anymore!!!
Good morning.
HF...very nice foal:) Congratulations!
Becky
Well hey there...
How’s things going? Are you working a lot?
We dug some mud yesterday, a few errands in town today... hopefully farrier tomorrow, but I haven’t firmed that up yet.
It was a busy weekend. I worked Sat from 7-4 then went to the Miss Bixby Beauty Pageant. Jenny was asked to be a hair stylist for the event. It was.....interesting:)
Yesterday I was off, the girls and grandbabies came up and we played, and watched an episode of Lost:)
Today and tomorrow I work. I’m pretty much working 40 hours a week. I’m finally in the computer and am getting a little more of a balanced schedule...not all 1-10 shifts. So I’ll have some evenings off, and hope to get myself riding some.
Becky
The beauty pageant would be interesting, not a world I’ve ever been in before!
We should be thinking about starting riding here too. Not in a huge hurry till it has dried up at least a little, but we’re getting close. Things that need done... like picking up the trailer from the neighbor’s house and maybe getting it serviced.
Thanks! :)
I have to come up with a name for him to go on his papers. The mama, Sissy, has some of the same bloodline as your buckskin, Rocky. Her great-grandfather is Poco Bueno, who is King bred. Those horses are long gone ‘cause their birthdates are 1944 and 1932. Has Barometer as great,great-grandfather, too.
Rain here, so looks dreary. Our friend that has the gaited mule left yesterday to go to a weeklong Mule Day ride in Tennessee and their predicting rain 4 days this week. He’s in a mule drawn wagon with 2 of his brothers.
We have rain forecast for most of this week too. Today it is suppose to get up into the 70’s and is very humid...then tonight another cold front comes thru and we’ll be in the 50’s tomorrow:\ I really hate these drastic swings.
Naming foals, especially for papers can be a real challenge:)...good luck!
Becky
I have to admire the girls that were in the pageant just for putting themselves out there...several of them really didn’t have any talent, but they tried. The winners all got money towards college tuition so for that I’d say it was a good reason to enter.
The MC they had tho was an absolute bust...she is a local anchor newsperson on our local Fox station...whew...she was bad. She had to do some ab libbing (sp)....lord, she needs to stick to reading the news:) Jenny said the pageant co-ordinator was in tears about 30 minutes into it because the woman was so bad..she actually said the s#!t word....and made some comments that could be racial...and some about heavy people....it was bad.
Becky
Heh! Oh dear! Well that sounds like a popcorn worthy event!
LOL....it was:)
Well I’ve got to go....working in Lawn and Garden makes me feel like Eliza Doolittle:)
Becky
Wouldn’t it be loverly? :~)
Hope she didn’t hurt any of the girls feelings. That’s not a good age to disc their self-esteem.
Adorable!
And I do think I see grey hairs at the muzzle!
Looks like some gray hairs in the armpits too. Is his pigment around his eyes a lighter color too? A little like Faith's
Thanks. Sissy’s mom was dark chestnut and her daddy gray.
She is a rose gray and her basecoat is red. That’s probably why he is red and not black basecoat.
Duchess- how long did it take the one in the pictures to be white. It is really pretty. Hard to get them with well defined spots like that isn’t it?
Whats goin' on?
He does look a little pink around the eyes. Had some matter in one yesterday, but couldn’t wipe it, scared.
They didn’t look infected though. We are keeping the iodine on his naval. We were funny trying to figure out if he was a boy or girl. Hal had to pick him up and let me look. He kept saying, “I don’t see a twat.” I thought the sheath was boobies. Finally, when he turned him up I could see it was a sheath. Poor guy!
