Heh, that does sound like an interesting ride, but it does sound like you did good. The main thing is that you didn’t freak out. You rode him through it, so hopefully now that he knows that you don’t scare so easy and he can’t get by with all that silliness he’ll be better the next time. And I do think that your trainer should’ve given you a bit more encouragement than he did for handling him successfully like you did. Like Hair said earlier when we were discussing my less than graceful jumping form, any ride where you stay on the horse is a good one, no matter what you look like. I’ll bet you did look like a mouse riding a charging elephant though, with him doing all that squealing. My old 17 hand gelding Tennessee used to squeal under his breath when he got pissed too. It’s really funny sounding.
I post my videos on youtube and they have separations for “private” or “public.” I’m a little uncomfortable putting videos of my kids on there publicly so I use the private section.
Just had a bit of excitement here... just a little though. Heard a ruckus outside, dogs barking people yelling, and saw a kid running in between my fence and Rosie’s fence headed for the woods. Some other people were behind me and asked which way he went.
“Into my woods... what’s the story?”
“He just stole something from the store”
“There he is... (We couldn’t see him but could hear him crashing through the woods)”
Lots of vigilantes and cops crashed around in the woods for awhile, while Gidget and I watched my perimeter and listened. I guess they caught him out by the road eventually, when I hadn’t heard anything for awhile I went over to the store.
I asked a cop if they got him, or was he still in my woods, and they pointed to him in the back of a patrol car.
I guess he stole a hat. I’m guessing it will not be worth it in hindsight.

Way to rain on a gal's parade. I think it sounds like you rode some tough parts well, I'd be proud too.
I think I’ve figured out how to load videos on to the hosting sight. I think it’s just going to take a while tho since I’m on dial up. I just took a 9 second one of Susie to make a test on. LOL...If this takes as long as it looks like it’s going to I may have to load video at night while I’m sleeping:)

Now, when you go to take some of Harley... keep them pretty short so you can get them uploaded. 1-2 time around, max, if you’re on the lunge.

I won’t be able to get Harley on the lunge till tomorrow, it’s getting dark now. I did go out just playing and caught Grizzly bothering Harley, about a 10 second clip, it’s loading.
I can see the videos just loading them on my computer, then I put them on the hosting sight and when I click the play button, I get a message that I have to load “Adobe flash player” I don’t know what that is, and need to talk to Mack before I do anything. But as long as you can see it it doesn’t matter if I can see it on photobucket or not.

We can see it :~) It’s OK to load the flash player... FWIW... lots of video on the web is in flash.
OK, here’s the one of Harley and Grizzly...you know since I know how to do this now you are going to have to watch a lot of videos for awhile:)
Notice how sweaty Harley:(...8:00 and it’s still so hot he and Rocky are covered in sweat.

We just had to beat the beagle... he stole honey’s hamburger bun off the counter. Now he’s on his bed afraid to move.
I turned the sound on. In the video of Harley and Grizzly that is locust you can hear. I’m a bit surprised it picked them up. When I watched it the first time with the sound, I thought I was hearing one from outside:)

No that’s locusts. This time of year they get really really loud around here. I guess there is just a bunch of them.

Poor horses had to be hot in that trailer. Another one pulled up a bit later and the two went in and ate.
Talking about how green things are around here. This is a hay meadow, that I believe must have been fertilized recently. This is just about the greenest grass I have ever seen.

One of our horses is like that about beer. You can always get him to behave in the arena if you promise him a beer if he’s good :) He really likes soft drinks too but beer is his beverage of choice.
