I think it’s a lot of ado about nothing too Becky, even if it did in part intend to be about Palin. We love it when our side cracks these barbed jokes... that’s all this was.
Been finishing cleaning up around here... about to head out to the barn to do the same out there. It’s BORING! That’s the problem! :~)
Lipstick on a pig?? I hadn’t heard about that one. Sounds interesting. Got a link?
Hal has hulled out 2 of our stalls to redo them. He has done it 3 times, now. Hope he gets it how he wants it and safe for the horses.
MT: Hoping for the best for your CT scan. We call our patients the same day or the next day with the results of their tests. They just want to get an extra visit out of you. Our patients would freak if they had to wait that long.
Just reading back about your CAT scan and waiting for results... sounds like you’re busy, not exactly taking it easy though!

This is an FR thread about it. It doesn’t really give the whole story, but you might catch the intent if you read enough.
Thanks all for the good wishes!
Course the saddles and stuff are still out in the trailer till the weather turns, but it's a beautiful work of art till then, don't you think? :~)
Do you remember the old one? Big 8 foot long wooden thing that took up a whole wall in the living room?
I gave it to Tiffney.
Good job on the yard sale...you were really lucky to have someone take the leftovers. Remember when I had my garage sale last year and the Goodwill would not take any of the things, after the sale. They dont clean and repair anything anymore. What a shame.
Amy, Alison and I went back into the woods tonight to haul in some logs for fire wood. They rode the ATV, well, Alison rode Tubby first, then rode with her mom. I took the tractor. There was an old trail that I wanted to open back up. The weeds were at least 20 feet tall. It was that bamboo looking stuff with a tuff at the top. They break easy, but it was a chore for Amy to get through on the 4-wheeler. I sure wish I had my camera when she went it. A real jungle! It could almost be a maze now.
A couple of more times running over it and it will be all broke down. I didnt take a chance using the tractor and mower. Stems were just too thick.
We pulled a couple of downed trees back to the house and will cut up for the winter. Tomorrow, we will get some more, before the rains start and we wont be able to get them.
Heh... I don’t think that qualifies as taking it easy either! :~)
I used to love to fish for catfish in NC. Bob and I fished after dark with lighted bobbers and it was a ball. They do put up a great fight getting them in.
That is an incredible picture of Shelley - worthy of a magazine cover.
You’re just having way too much fun with the kittens. I’d probably be spending the day watching them.
That’s a really nice entertainment center.
45th reunion??? That has got to be because they have one every four to six months right?
I hope they find out that the problem is something really easy to fix.
You’re right, we need a den mother. We need someone to ping the list every day (hint, hint)
Well, the lipstick on a pig comment doesn’t surprise me a bit, I would expect something like that from O. Nevada doesn’t allow write in votes but they do allow none of the above. Anyway, right now, I think I’m voting NONE OF THE ABOVE for president.
Oh I like that. Did someone make it or is it available at stores. We could sure use something like that in Bob’s office. He’s got two saddles one on top of the other on an old wood rack that weighs a ton and is ugly as sin.
It was available at our feed store... Was $100.
Thanks on the kittens and the entertainment center... now when I find my leather couch, I’ll have a whole new living room :~)
Thanks. I think Big R in Fallon carries Powder River stuff - someone around here does I know.
So - start checking the thrift stores for the leather couch :) If I could get mine to you, you could have it.
CJ got backed for the first time today, no bucking but she made it pretty plain this was not a favorite thing for her. The trainer pulled Friday out of the pasture last week, saddled her and rode away :) She hadn’t been ridden in three years. This may be a mare I need to keep for me.
Rocky will be leaving in the next three weeks probably. His coggins, etc will be done next Friday.
Well good for Friday! and CJ! :~)
I’ve been checking craigslist for leather couches and chairs. There’s lots available. Waiting for one that’s both nearby and not too big. And not orange. :~)
