LOL - yes, very bad. As a good friend though and knowing how difficult she makes it to keep your other horses in line, I would make the sacrifice for you :)
Heh... I made you a deal over at HGS... You have to take her and the bad pony and the apple tree. :~)
Going there now :)
Rocky is being weaned, we moved him away from his mom. Mom is happy, Rocky is confused. He worked on a lunge line of sorts today http://s329.photobucket.com/albums/l394/duchess47/rocky0808/?action=view¤t=rockylunge.flv
and got his first bath. He didn’t mind it all all once he figured out he could drink out of the hose. He sure is a smart kid. I missed pictures of the bath, didn’t know he was going to get one.
He’s terrific! And doing well on his little lunge line!
We’re gearing up here to catch kittens tonight... have the traps baited, wish us luck!
Good luck on the kittens. I sure hope you catch them - they will have a much better life. I’ll wait for pictures :)
Well, so far, nothing. Momma 1 came in, and we had a plan for her if we caught her, to put her in the back of the Ranger, but I think she just ate regular food and went to bed up in the dogloo. She didn’t get fooled by the trap that has the tuna in it anyhow.
Well shoot. Although I admit it took me months to trap all of mine. Hopefully, tonight or tomorrow for yours.
Well, we haven’t seen the momma with the kittens come in yet.
We were sitting outside and decided maybe we were spooking her, so we came inside. Now I’m just checking it every so often. We we don’t catch them tonight, we’ll just keep tryin’.
For tonight, I left the hard food out too and just put the tuna in the trap. That may be a mistake... we’ll see.
I thought - wow - that's lucky! But this time it was a possum. Gak. After a short debate about what to do, we let it go. We do want to kill or move the possums, but not tonight. We've got other business!
Back to business, here's the new feral kitten! She's pretty wild and scared right now, but I've covered her crate so she has mostly privacy to settle in and hopefully she'll come around in the days to come. We'll work on it. Hopefully we'll catch her little orange brother tonight as well so she's not lonely. Wicket just growled at her, so she's no help.
Awwww, Rocky looks like a sweet heart, being so good about everything. Whoever gets him is gonna be a lucky one!
Heeeey, good job with the cat trapping! Hopefully you’ll have the other one by morning. She may be a little wild now, but judging by how fast the other ones tamed down, it won’t take her long.
Larry didn’t have your shoes at the show last night. He said he didn’t have any 3/8 00 at all.
Hal is going to Amish next week and I told him to try to get them up there. You need to call and remind him where the place is that made your cinch. He forgot.
Soldier broke John’s harness kicking back when they hooked him to the wagon and he has to fix it for him.
Apple tree—
Kind of reminds me of the Garden of Eden—Equine style!
He really turned out to be the “Gold Standard” of what you want in an Appaloosa, didn't he. He sure looks big for a weanling. I hope Freckles catches on as easily.
What a beautiful little kitten. Hope you catch the orange one quickly. You have a new career now - Feral Cat Hunter.
Thanks - yes, I think the lady that bought him has a winner. I don’t know if she intends to geld him or not but right now I’d say he is stud material with his conformation, pedigree and his mind.
No, the black and white colt was off the mare that was leased. Rocky is 12 and a half hands and he turned four months old the first part of this month. I am really pleased with him :) Bob wants to breed Farah to Sonny again since it’s such a great click - I said over my dead body.
And she’s the one that gets hypoglycemic and you have to be there when she foals? I would be afraid to, also.
