He said he started handling a sword and was holding it when his wife turned a corner and impaled herself on it, the police statement said. Brandon told officers he then raised the sword and struck her "somewhere above the chest," according to the statement.

So his story is that the first sword wound he inflicted on her was accidental, but that the second sword wound he inflicted on her was intentional.

What a bizarre explanation.
