Yes, I’m a little familiar with them. They look more like the old style of working shepherd, unlike the sad looking ones shown in AKC shows. I generally am not an AKC basher, but the GSD has really not been done a favor by the show community. Not sure where to place the fault, altho there is probably plenty to go around.

I agree with you completely. Some of the dogs bred now are not the same dogs of yesteryear. Listen, some breeders need to be bashed, if it’s just to bring them back into realty that responsibility in dog breeding is their’s if they are going to breed. It can be time consuming and expensive; and if one is in it just for the money; forget it. You will not be making a fortune. It should be for the love of the dog and the breed; not just for money; the thrill of showing or one’s ego.
