My reason for asking is that because Dumbledore put so much faith behind Snape, always defending him in the past. If Snape turns out to be evil, it makes Dumbledore look like a fool.

In the forth book, Snape comes out and shows Fudge his tattoo but in the movie, there’s a more sinister ending with Snape shoving his wand in the villains face. I don’t understand where they were going with that.

Also the author tries to show how Snape had a troubled past. I’m not sure if it’s to throw off the reader and make them feel sorry for him all the while she sets him up to be the big bad guy all along.

I just don’t know what to think.
