We are still awaiting further details, but PWInsider.com is extremely saddened to report that former WWE and WCW World champion Chris Benoit and his wife, former WCW and ECW personality Nancy "Woman" Benoit were both found dead today in Atlanta, Georgia. Obviously this will be a huge developing story in the days to come but at this point, we'd like to express our deepest condolences to the Benoits' family, friends, and fans at this time.
A meeting is currently ongoing at WWE TV and it is expected that tonight's three hour Raw will now be dedicated to Benoit's memory.
6:09 Update: WWE.com issued the following statement this afternoon:
"WWE is sad to report that Chris Benoit and his family have been found dead in their home. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Tonight's Raw will be a tribute to Chris and his family."

May I ask to be pinged, as well?
That makes sense to me. I’ve heard some very positive things about him. Seems like the kind of guy who tries to be a good friend. It has to be hard wondering if there was anything you could have done even when the truth is probably not.
Wow. Guess this is what Chavo was talking about.
Back in the day a lot of the guys didn’t look so much like bodybuilders. And several of them had quite a gut on them. There are some who have clearly “roided”, including at least one whose facial appearance would change when he was doing it. I don’t deny the use of steroids. I just hate for steroids to be automatically blamed by the MSM every time something happens. Sometimes people have tempers, personal issues or are simply jerks. All of them are human even if some of them don’t want to admit it.
Here is a link to the story making the rounds on the wikipedia posting; that I’m sure a lot have heard about. (No comment)

Sure, no problem.
re: Regal
I have heard he had a rough spell a while back, but I never remember hearing or reading anything bad about him. Also, he evidently is something of a legit tough customer. I rewatched his comments from RAW and in this context, his comments do seem very limited and odd. Looks like he knew more than what was let on at the time. I’ll try and post the video if I can.
I see what you’re saying. It was such a shock that night, finding out shortly before the broadcast I didn’t really notice at the time. His words & his demeanor are interesting.
Thanks
Yes, his comments suggest to me that at that time, he knew more than what was made public at the time.
Didn’t get my Wrestling Observer today. Maybe tomorrow.
Darn!
Obviously, everyone is scouring the stories that are in the news;

And another story a bit opposite of the first;

2 stories to keep up to date on.
Interesting how Bruce claims Chris was a “delusional juice freak” but then goes on to say they hadn’t seen much of each other for the last few years. I imagine we’ll be seeing a lot of the “used to be’s” giving interviews. Debra wasted no time. I’m still waiting on Sable & Chyna to weigh in with their expert opinions. This thing is going to be a circus before it’s over.
I would imagine that Chyna knows a bit about steroids.
Scary stuff.
I’m no fan of McMahon. I think the guys deserve better. I think the fans deserve better. But I’m expecting a lot of disgruntled “formers” to line up for their shot. One more moment in the spotlight.
I have been watching wrestling since the 60’s and back in those days they were adults with day jobs. Now they appear to be children. However since they are of age they are treated like adults.
It is such a shame that they procreate.
The Von Erichs are a grand example.
One of my earliest memories as a kid is watching Johnny Weaver & Paul Jones. Things sure have changed since then.
The Von Erichs were a disaster. Who’s the only one left now? Kevin?
Yep Kevin.
I have heard from more than one source that after attending a benefit promoted by one of Kerry’s friends to raise funds for Kerry’s children Kevin charged a $3000.00 appearance fee. If true it is sad, if not it is sad that I believe it.
Wrestling is wrestling, but family is family. This my sound hypocritical to my friends as I have not had contact with my family for many years, but the Eakers never claimed to be close knit.
The Von Erichs (actually Adkisson) did.
