Fillet mignon is for people who don’t really know red meat. They might eat steak, but they haven't learned the various tastes and textures of various cuts. Fillet is not your best eating steak. At restaurants, the porterhouse is best and sirloin can be excellent.

Don't put anything on steak except minimal spices and the rare spritz of teryaki.

For 35 years I've been on a high protein diet (60-40) and still prefer carnivorous part of it mostly plain. Except for burgers. Supper was grilled cheeseburger with cheddar and blue cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and W Ketchup. Veggies you can play with. I love veggies every way they can be eaten. I don't care for beets, however.

The burger sounds great. If it is from a cow I will eat it. Although I have eaten mystery meat. I was afraid to ask what it was. In a lot of the countries that I have been to there has always some type of meat that was disguised to look like beef.
