Yesterday at my kid’s middle school end of year ceremony -my 2 kids got the following awards: Honor Roll (both of them), Most Talanted 8th grade Musician, Perfect score on the History Standard of Learning Test (600 out of 600), Highest grade point average in 6th grade History AND an award for EXCEEDING Accelerated Reader points..... I am so proud. It must suck to be his parents.
Congratulations to YOU on your obviously wonderful parenting skills! :*) I agree—don’t these parents realize that by advertising all of this in the media (and now it’s on Drudge, it’s world wide) people are going to look at the kid and reflect on *their* lack of parenting skills?
I have in-laws from India, where education is super important to them—I can already imagine them complaining that the parents should have controlled the boy better so that this embarrassing (for all around) incident wouldn’t have occurred in the first place! :-)
