I'm sure you'll be saying the same thing when Scooter Libby gets his prison time commuted to a low security prison or released early or pardoned.
Hmm...I didn't hear these same people shouting and cheering with glee when Libby was sentenced. Wonder why.

This is a silly and unjust case. This is nothing but the legal system trying to make an example of her... which is not justice.
Drive on a suspended DL and you get 45 days n jail
Kill someone with a shotgun while they sleep and you get 210 days in jail.

The sheriff was obviously thrilled to get her out of the jail..she was a huge nuisance, but it's hard to believe that as an elected official, he had no idea that this was goign to blow up in his face. He had to know it was gonna cause him a BIG problem....so why did he go along? Wikipedia says he is a Scientologist. Cultists do things for other reasons sometimes.

Hilton was housed in the "special needs" unit of the 13-year-old jail, separate from most of its 2,200 inmates. The unit contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates. She didn't have a cellmate.LOL!
That makes all the sob-sisters who indignantly claimed that "overcrowding" perfectly justifies early release at the sherrif's discretion sound really really stupid.
What happened? They had a sudden rush of politicians, law enforcement officials and celebrities flouting the law?
I seem to have missed that part of recent news...
Just saying.

In big, bold strokes, the judge scrawled his order, demanding that the Sheriff's Department bring Paris to court. TMZ first reported that the Sheriff refused to cooperate, on grounds the judge did not have jurisdiction.
The order reads, "LASD [Los Angeles Sheriff's Department] directed to bring defendant to court!!
Too much coffee, your honor.

I think you told me this before, but you have a cat named Lazamataz, dont you? Yupper. He's a black and white tuxedo kitty. A bit of a whore. (He'll love on anyone who has food) But he's a good boy.
(He can't spell either.)
Freeper Reaper and I have always loved your posts the best. When the kitten showed up on our front porch, acting like he owned the place, "Lazamataz" just seemed like the logical moniker.

“That makes all the sob-sisters who indignantly claimed that “overcrowding” perfectly justifies early release at the sherrif’s discretion sound really really stupid.” Actually the their jails are extremely overcrowded and the typical low risk inmate only serves 10% of their time ! Which would be 4-5 days in this case...!!

A Fresh Fish is a new arrival to the jail and is considered fair game for all kinds of stuff i.e. someone to rip off, or worse. Use your imagination.

In my neck of the woods, a person CANNOT be released early without approval of the sentencing judge.
She was sentenced to jail for a reason.

"amazing, shoot a husband in the back and orphan three children and you only get sentenced to three years." Actually she is only going to get 210 days for shooting her husband in the back.

She wigged out after 3 days in the can, then she was pale and shaky when she had to go back. Classic drug/alcohol withdrawal symptoms. They generally hit the wall real bad on the 3rd day of detox.

That may apply to the general population, not the VIP suites.
The accomodations, and shortages, are different for the common folk (not that I don't agree that she should be among the common folk).
