“...Conte said he did not know how fast McKay was driving when he overtook the Toyota about 1 1/2 miles later on Route 116. Strelzin said McKay, who radioed in the pursuit and asked for backup, pulled his cruiser ahead of Kenney’s car, forcing him to stop.”

Something is not adding up...
The first time Liko Kenney and Cpl. Bruce McKay met on a January night four years ago was not unlike their final, and fatal, encounter Friday night.
A prosecutor’s account shows a 2003 encounter between McKay and Kenney turned violent when Kenney, yelling and resisting arrest, grabbed the officer’s groin and squeezed.
Franconia Residents Struggle To Understand Shootings
Franconia residents said Monday that they were still trying to make sense of the Friday night shooting of a police officer and the man accused of shooting him.
“I think everybody is just dumbfounded and devastated and just sort of in a state of shock.”
Residents said that the shootings have left the community torn.
