May Time Magic
Author: Mabel Watts
A little seed
For me to sow? A little earth To make it grow? A little hole, A little pat, A little wish, And that's that. A little sun, A little shower? A little while, And then a flower. |
Things are looking up as our resident poet goes mobile. I’m relieved you got a good long rest.
I did as well. Temperatures are back down into the 60s and the air is drier, so I’ll be in and out today.
Hi Lady, temps are much cooler today, very cool North wind. I walked out into the back yard to sit, alas, it was too cool to be out there.
I think it was a lot warmer this morning. The sun is out.
Nice little poem you posted.
Going out for groceries later this afternoon. The kids are coming tomorrow, YAY!
Yes! I like that! Where are you getting your magic?
Excellent!! Go for it!!!
Yupper, sure hope so. I am planning on buying some flowers for the table, and some delicious Cream Puffs for the kids, along with exotic coffee.
I have to leave for errands, see you later. ;)
Ooh, cream puffs!!
You think you’ll get flowers?
Got the Cream Puffs, they are small ones frozen, but there are about 2 dozen in the container. Cost $4.99.
I will probably get flowers from one of the girls. ;)
I bought a dozen red Roses for $6.00, lovely color, more of a maroon cast to them.
Oh, I meant to add, it has gotten so cool in the house I turned the furnace on. Tomorrow is gonna be a very cool day.
Eat a dozen tonight so there’ll be a dozen cream pufss tomorrow. After all, it is your day.
LOL, I ate 6 of them after dinner, savored every little bite too! They are filled with Bavarian Cream. Yummy.
Six is a good start, Featherino. You’re part way there! You’re the Mom and you make the rules. Eat ‘em all if they’re small!
I bought some special coffee to serve to my girls. I will bring out my finest Arabia Finnish China, with tiny little spoons. I will put the cream puffs on a special doily, then on a special glass plate from Finland. The cups are very small, and paper thin, the coffee is made very strong, usually served with cream and lump sugar.
I should be serving Cardamom Braids the traditional coffee bread, a yeast bread- it takes all day to make it.
Happy Mother’s Day to those Moms in the Lair.
