Posted on 05/05/2007 11:53:47 AM PDT by Vision
Pay per view starts at 9pm. This is the fight of the year.
Mayweather is probably the best fighter in boxing right now. It will be great to see how Oscar shows up for this; it may determine the rest of his career.
Right now tradebetx has it to win:
Mayweather -199
Hoya +170

Silly.
I take this fight with a grain of salt; I tried for a few months to go to it- I love Vegas.
Michael Savage is sitting ringside or in the first row.

That must have been amazing;
He boxed for awhile, didn’t he? Before the whole Godfather of Soul thing?

hehe, I could be wrong but I think he’s always been a journalist. DeMatha baby, Hyattsville Maryland, The Stags! My aunt lives around the corner.
In other news Jim Lampley looks a little different since the last fight I saw him do. I guess that’s what abusing your wife does to your soul.

I hope to have a good live thread. The unwillingness of anyone to shell out the $$ to watch the fight on PPV during this live thread from 2002 did nothing to diminish how "good" the thread was.
But a $55 ticket will separate the speculators from the fans.
Pure drivel.

The MGM is a great hotel. I was there in October and it takes 45 minutes to walk around the thing. I spent most of my time in the pool.

Very sensible, considering Las Vegas weather; I’d love to live there someday.
I think Medina’s going to lose this one...

You’re right about Medina.
Isn’t the weather in Texas and Vegas the same? I love Vegas. I was there in Feburay when Maryland had a crippling ice storm...while I was sipping martinis around blue skys and palm trees. The only thing that gets me is that since your in a desert, the humidity is extremely low, so my lips chap badly after after a few days. I think the humidity there today is 17%. It gets to 120 in the summer!
I'm moving to Miami with frequent play dates to Vegas.

I won’t even ask what you do; whatever it is, it must be fabulous. ;-)
From what I understand (though I’ve only been in Vegas twice), Vegas is much dryer, which I prefer; San Antonio in the summer is like a concrete swamp; 110% humidity (whatever that means) is pretty normal in the summer.
Did you see Medina go down?
