I don't want to interfere with your soliloquy but there is more than one definition of invasion . See #3 in·vade /ɪnˈveɪd/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[in-veyd] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation verb, -vad·ed, -vad·ing. Âverb (used with object) 1. to enter forcefully as an enemy; go into with hostile intent: Germany invaded Poland in 1939. 2. to enter like an enemy: Locusts invaded the fields. 3. to enter as if to take possession: to invade a neighbor's home. 4. to enter and affect injuriously or destructively, as disease: viruses that invade the bloodstream. 5. to intrude upon: to invade the privacy of a family. 6. to encroach or infringe upon: to invade the rights of citizens. 7. to permeate: The smell of baking invades the house. 8. to penetrate; spread into or over: The population boom has caused city dwellers to invade the suburbs. Âverb (used without object) 9. to make an invasion: troops awaiting the signal to invade. No offense!!

I was simply pointing out that you are talking symantics. What is one persons migration is anothers infestation. By the way, tell me where you think I am wrong. I am a big believer in legal immingration. I feel ILLEGAL immigration is bad for Mexicans who come in under the radar and are often victims themselves. I feel it is bad for America because of the chaos it brings, the burden on hospitals, social services, etc... I feel the border should be closed to stop all ILLEGAL immigration and to stop the flow of drugs across the border. I am in favor of a guest worker program that allows Mexicans to come in and work. I am in favor of US investment in Mexico and in helping to strengthen Mexico. I could go on and on....but I am wondering, as one of the open borders crowd, why is that approach so wrong?

"Our young people are NOT GOING TO HAVE JOBS for petes sake." But you have to understand, "they're only taking jobs that Americans won't do in the first place." So the fact that they can't break into the job market really isn't relevant. /sarc

Actually, being from a place of large amounts of ILLEGALS tht is not true. They work in restaurants, fields, lawn services, factories, etc... Some are jobs that my own teenage children apply for.

Where did I ever state or indicate that I am a supporter of an Open Border Policy?
To: ontap
Could you please format your post correctly?
To: trumandogz
You have been arguing with me against the need for closing the border and for a forthright and intelligent plan for dealing with immigration. What other conclusion can one draw? When you excuse the ILLEGALS coming across the border and argue for their right to do so your stand is pretty obvious.

No, I have only stated first, that Illegal Aliens, while they are in the United States are protected by the Constitution.
Second, that if we were being invaded that the CiC would deploy troops to the border to repel the invasion. Since the President has not deployed troops to the border I can only assume that we are not under invasion.
To: trumandogz
Well, again symantics. This president I believe would not send troops to the border and I do believe it is an invasion/intrusion/ILLEGAL migration- whatever you want to call it. SO, I take it that you are then in agreement with my approach?
