Where can I meet the President?

Posted on 04/19/2007 9:08:47 PM PDT by NorthEastRepublican

Hey guys, I am going to be in DC Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I love our President and would pay to even get a glimpse of him. Does anyone know where I could possibly meet him? Does anyone know his schedule?

I would want to try and see him also if I were visiting D.C.
Saw and met Nixon by a fluke when I was in junior high. Just happened to be at the right place at the right time and he walked over and had a conversation with me and my brother.

Hope you get the chance to meet Pres. Bush!

I hear this week end Laura is flipping the mattresses at Campo del Davido. That’s a good place to start.....

AWESOME. It was our first day in D.C. and we happened to be walking by the Postal Building. There were tons of people, cars, etc. so we asked what was going on and S.S. told us that Pres. and Agnew were there signing a bill.
So we walked over and the press put my little brother and I up front so he could see. Pres walked out of the bldg. and RIGHT over to us and started asking questions, name, where you from, what do you want to be when you grow up, etc.
My father had his camera and wouldn’t you know; it wouldn’t work. He was a very angry man! :)

Anyway, any opportunity to meet a Pres. is worth seeking out. Esp. a Republican President!

Up until WWI or so a person could walk up and knock on the front door of the White House and reasonably expect to meet the president. These days, the possibility of meeting the president, without being a major party donor or someone that he decides that he needs to talk to, is remote. The president is simply too busy to spend much time with the general public anymore.

Your best bet would be to look for an opportunity to attend a fundraiser that the president is also attending, or to raise 500k+ for the RNC.
